A part from story mode there really isn't any single player content(altough they added Rugal boss mode, it's pretty barebones too, beat it in 6 tries).Also, it seems that since launch, there are people that simply cannot play on line and this problem has not even been adressed by the developers.All in all, a great fighting game, but lacking in content.

Undoubtedly, KOF XV is an evolution over XIV. But I feel like this game is too stuck to its roots of the past and abandons mechanics that were introduced in previous versions. I don't know if I would go so far as to say it's the best game in the franchise – long-time fans would hardly agree with that, even. The King of Fighters XV is a great fighting game and SNK did a good job on bringing it up to par with the likes of the competition. However the game has a fantastic roster, great gameplay and is looking fantastic, there are still a few things missing. You can't really unlock things, there aren't as many modes as you would wish and the story just isn't that long. If those things were better, then the game which already kicks ass, would bring even the greatest of competitors on its knees.

The King of Fighters XV doesn't try to appeal to a wider audience, giving us interesting and complex mechanics which aren't really presented in an accessible manner. Long-time fans of the franchise will find some genuine enjoyment and improvements, especially regarding the graphical upgrade, which truly gives new life to these 3D models. It's just about enough to keep SNK's franchise competing for the title.

Leaving all the complaints aside. This game is enjoyable if given some time and learning. I haven't experienced Online yet. I seriously fear the lagging servers. But if they are at least as good as Tekken 7 Servers, then I'm happy. If your wallet won't hurt, you may get it now @ $28.00 on Steam, else wait for it to drop at $10.00 and then you may secure a copy of your own.

KING OF FIGHTERS XV may not be the best game when it comes to the story but the fighting aspect fills those missing holes. Being able to feel this excited about a fighting game almost feels unreal in a way. With my little experience with the genre, KING OF FIGHTERS XV makes me want to improve in every way that I can. The fluidity of the combat, the strategic big brain plays, the beautiful and handsome character designs, it all comes together and shatters all my expectations I had going into KING OF FIGHTERS XV and I look forward to putting more countless hours into the game.
