And the fact that killing an enemy by simply shooting twice in the foot is a nightmare.But still I enjoy playing this part ..

The main character gets no development and doesn't have much of a personality. Its not a deep experience, but it was cathartic enough to hold my interest. Unfortunately, there's nobody playing the online multiplayer at the moment so bear that in mind if you're thinking of buying this.Pick this up if a war shooter with good sniper gunplay appeals to you - it is rather shallow, but it's fun while it lasts.

A remastered game is still the same old game, but with prettier graphics. Current owners of Sniper Elite 2 probably won't find better graphics to be worth a purchase, but new players wanting to start the venerable series near the beginning might want to give it a try.

Honestly that is the selling point for this series the ability to shoot a Nazi in his testicles in slow motion over and over again. Say you never played any of the Sniper Elite series before I say V2 is the perfect start it is more simple than the sequels and honestly easier. My biggest issue with the "Remastered" is the fact it isn't remastered at all. This game looks barely different from the one that came out on the PS3. With that being the case it is hard for me to say that anyone should drop $40 on this release. I give it a high HIGH BARGAIN BIN.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered lacks any of the polish typical with modern remasters and struggles under the weight of dated design and poor presentation. What could have been a fun little jaunt through Nazi territory devolves into an altogether lackluster experience. Only for the most die-hard sniper fans.

I understand sniper elite series is not the biggest around in the shooting genre nor has it made any financial wonders but a halfhearted effort for a remaster that hardly changed anything is seriously not worth it. a whole remake of the game, perhaps the more interesting of all the sniper elite title would have been the way to go but i see and mentioned above why they (Rebel) didn't go for it. If you played it before, don't bother if you haven't and really keen on sniping/shooting get it heavily discounted.

Overall, the game’s remaster is average at best, and the only demographic that will truly be interested in it is the one that grew up with the original and want to relive their glory days sniping Nazis, zombies, and Nazi zombies.

Sniper elite is an amazing game which I’m sorry to say should not be limited to such a small screen as the switch. I do however realize that it can be docked and played on my tv, however then what would be the point in playing it on the switch and not a much, much better console. Hence Xbox one or PS4.

There isn’t anything really bad about Sniper Elite V2 Remastered, but there also isn’t anything that’s particularly good either. The Remastered port itself is underwhelming, so I don’t think there’s much reason for fans of the series to take the opportunity to relive their memories of the original. Newcomers wouldn’t be making a mistake to pick up this game, but I can’t think of anything in the game that’s really worth going out of your way to check out. I’m really interested in the idea of a shooting game that’s leveraged on methodical and deliberate actions, but the level design in Sniper Elite V2 undermines its stealth mechanics so much that it ends up feeling like every other shooter on the market, but now with far less health and much harder aiming.

Even if Sniper Elite V2 Remastered shows the signs of age, it’s still an enjoyable sniping game. There are some problems (AI is far from being perfect), but fans of stealth/sniping games should give it a look.

There’s a lot to do in Sniper Elite V2 Remastered and it’s very well presented, and addictive. It might get old quickly – essentially executing the same play repeatedly – but you’ll definitely have fun whilst you are doing it.

The Bullet Cam and some of the missions still hold up pretty good today, but, overall, Sniper Elite V2 shows its old age, an age that the remastering was not able to take back.

I had hoped they had taken an older classic, given it current movement/graphics, and that'd it be "the same" but new, and different.I paid the full price (didn't own original SE2) gladly.I played about 20m of kill tally with friends. I fouund it to be totally unbalanced. Difficult to see enemies. non-linear rampups on incoming enemy numbers. I think the first couple of waves were 5-6 and then wave 3 is something like 12. Only playing on "marskman" (easy). And still getting utterly overwhelmed.Totally different from SE4 (which is fine) but just didn't enjoy it at all. In fact, 20m is all it took before I requested a refund. Sadly.Perhaps Kill-Tally is a bad way to experience SE2R, unsure. Though there’s an air of nostalgia and goodwill towards Rebellion and their continued efforts to keep this IP as entertaining as it remains, Sniper Elite V2 Remastered seems primarily focused on touching up the most selective of visual and graphical assets, and little else outside of it. Immediate access to the game’s arsenal of weapons, though appreciated — and opening up a welcome extension to the core tactical prowess the series has flourished on — the continued presence of issues from the original and the game’s now-aged design end up working against it. Moment-to-moment marksmanship still as delightful a spectacle to watch, as much partake in, as a proclaimed improvement on the original, V2 Remastered falters just enough, unfortunately, to fall short on that achievement.

Sniper Elite V2 Remastered definitely has improvements, but that doesn't mean it's the perfect experience; however it is a really beautiful and solid experience for fans of the series like myself. Not all the game's mechanics have aged well, though and this dated feeling may be off-putting for some and I think this will be mainly felt by newcomers of the franchise, as fans like myself will truly enjoy what is here for us. The game does excel in the amount of content it possesses because there’s something for every shooting fan in this game. The game is fun when playing on your own or with friends and with the game being some nice eye candy as well, you’ll find that this game is perfect to revisit. Those familiar with the series will feel right at home, but there are a few technical issues present every now and then. Thankfully none of these issues are game-breaking though and a a simple patch or update will likely resolve any issues in the coming weeks or months. Even though the game itself may be dated in a few areas and this port may technically be the worst current-gen version to pick up from a visual standpoint, the Switch port of Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is competently put together and stands out from the rest of the hybrid console’s third-party library.

On one hand, it’s one of the prettiest, most realistic titles the Switch has, and the slow-motion shots have a surprisingly rewarding tactile feel. Despite these high points, the rest of the game is extremely average, packed with throwaway collectibles and filler game modes that can’t hide the cumbersome cover shooter that lurks beneath. In the end, the gloom outweighs the glitter and though Sniper Elite V2 Remastered is a nice title to see on the Switch, it's certainly not an essential one.
