Not great for people who don't like murder cases, mention of blood & etc, but I like it. It's great, solid 10 outta 10.

However, if you enjoy heavy story based games, point and click type games or puzzle solving games, you'll probably really enjoy the ace attorney games.These games are graphically beautiful with fantastic music. I want to get special props to the music in the first game, which was so good that I almost had trouble getting through the second game because it didn't have the music from the first. I didn't notice any issues with frame rate or performance however this isn't exactly the type of game where that sort of thing would matter anyway.The story is what really matters here and while each game has it's own overall story, there's also a bit of an over arcing story between the three games that really shows the evolution of the characters over all. The characters are the other thing that really matters here. Someone deserves an award for the design of these characters. There's a lot of wacky personalities most of which are quite lovable. The game is really good at making you hate the bad guys, love the good guys and feel bad for the victims. There's also a few different redemption type arcs through out the games that work REALLY well.I can not recommend this collection enough to anyone who is a fan of visual novel type games and it honestly feels perfect for the Switch specifically. This collection is semi regularly on sale though, so I wouldn't buy it at full price and would instead wait for the next big event to cause it to go on sale.

I am glad they included both languages in this version. It makes much more sense to play the game in Japanese if you speak it since the script is so funny and pun-filled. It's one of the few games that made me burst out laughing."ナルホドーが扉をコワした！間違いありませんか！""そのようなアレは、困る。"The game itself is obviously great - the original trilogy has a great reputation for a reason, but really this is just a simple (or perhaps lazy) port so it has more than a few faults.Firstly, running the game in resolutions other than 1920x1080 makes the game blurry/fuzzy. I don't understand why this happens, since the game only consists of simple images and text.Secondly, it's missing a lot of features compared with other classic PC visual novels, like the backlog function (the biggest flaw of this port IMO, when I hit Enter too fast and missed the previous dialogue I have to replay from the save again), music player function, skip (if already read) function, auto advance function, a proper fast forward function (the fast forward function in the game is far too slow), gallery/CG viewer.Thirdly, the save selection screen is badly designed. Saves should be displayed in 2 columns and make use of the screen estate. Talking about save, 10 save slots is unacceptable for a PC visual novel since disk space should not be a problem. There should be 50 slots IMO.Since every episode is so long, I felt that they should have split each episode into few sections, like "1st Day - Detective", "1st Day - Trial", "2nd Day - Detective", "2nd Day - Trial - Part 1"... etc. Once the player have cleared the episode he should be able to select and play from his favourite section.Finally I think there should be a bonus mode which features all the characters' models (emotions/gestures/animation) and voices, and staff credits for each game. I want to watch the credits again for the epilogue but I don't want to play again from the beginning.The game's barebone state can be frustrating sometimes, but in the end it's still very fun to play thanks to its cleverly written story and script and updated graphics. Whether you've played it or not, I am sure you will enjoy it.

It's been a long time since the original Phoenix Wright games released so this is the perfect excuse to play through them again and re-experience the thrill of each case. Also, the updated presentation is handled so well that it feels like a brand new collection of games.

A stunning remaster of one of the greatest game trilogies of all time. Whether you've played them before or just want to relive the magic, this is definitely worth picking up.

Overall, the Switch port is almost everything I wanted in a new port. It runs and looks great almost all throughout and makes good use of the Switch hardware. I would’ve loved to see Capcom include some extras like trailers or galleries like the Mega Man ports. If you’ve never played these games before, you need to get them on Switch.

The appeal of this game is hard to narrow down; for the young or non-gamer, it is a very straightforward and extremely easy to play game, in fact you have one button to press and one joystick to move the cursor around for selection. The game can perhaps offer some challenges as it progresses. For experienced detective style gamers, intellectuals and those who want fast paced action, this is not the game for you. With that being said, this game is very different to many games out there and that can be a very welcomed change indeed.

Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is a good port for Xbox One on the main trilogy of one of Capcom's most iconic sagas. The virtues of the three included games and the charisma of the characters are still intact to this day.

The transition from portable devices to consoles hasn’t hurt the quality of the Ace Attorney Trilogy, which remain some of my favorite games of all time. Phoenix Wright and company are deserving of the big screen, and this game is well worth your time if you haven’t gotten around to playing it elsewhere.

Ace Attorney Trilogy is a modestly priced collection of thrilling adventures that highlight the best narrative arc in the series thus far. There’s a personal concern that the newer and cleaner art direction will put off some series purists and the cases can feel a bit slow in some parts, but otherwise, this is the best the series has ever looked and played and easily worth your attention.

I would truly adore some more Capcom arcade classics collections (hint hint). Prepare for intense courtroom cases by investigating crime scenes, collecting evidence, and questioning witnesses. Use evidence and the testimonies of witnesses to your advantage as you defend the innocence of your client. You must find the contradictions in witness testimonies with facts and evidence, or by pressing hard on the witnesses. The cases are interesting, the stories are intense and twisted, and only get better as you advance through the trilogy. Mega fans and new comers alike there's something truly great here at an amazing price point. This game will keep you quite busy with all the content if you plan on finishing it, and it's all about old school redone fun. I'm not giving this game a rating for graphics and sound. It's fun, creative, makes you really use your head to solve some daunting cases. It's Phoenix Wright in the way you've couldn't experience before now. I am a huge fan of classic and retro gaming especially when they can be had in trilogies or collections. If you like me love detective and law shows or movies, this is right up your alley. The game isn't for everyone but for those that love the genre, it's a game at the top of it's game. Two massive thumbs up!

Even though playing the Phoenix Wright Trilogy in 2019 reminds you how times have changed for the better, it is still a worthwhile compilation. Fifteen years after Phoenix Wright was brought to the West, its charm and strong narrative are still as resonant as it was in 2004. If you still have the original trilogy somewhere, you don’t need to rebuy this unless you’re a fanatic. But if you’re someone who never played a game in the series and want to know what the fuss is about? This is well worth your time. It’s silly and some design choices can force the game to a crawl, but it’s very easy to persevere to see what happens next.

With its amazing writing and unforgettable characters, Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney Trilogy is catchy right from the start and up to the end of the game.

Ace Attorney remains one of my favorite franchises of all time, and I have loved the opportunity to play through the trilogy again on Switch. Though it lags a little in the middle with some less-than-stellar cases in the second game, the Ace Attorney Trilogy is still an incredible story with wonderful characters, memorable plots, and satisfying mysteries to solve. With little more than a new coat of paint, the Trilogy collection manages to be the perfect way to experience the story of Phoenix Wright whether you’re a rookie lawyer or a great ace attorney.
