It should be noted right away that I am not fed up with this genre of games. I think this played a big role in the evaluation of this game.

The draw distance is pathetic and the graphics pretty bad. This game runs at 25-40 fps on a software level, and even does this in an emulator. More fun if you like one piece. Suffers from typical musuo flaws. It continually feeds you text during battle, at the bottom of the screen. There is no way whatsoever you can see this text while playing. Lastly, when you beat a boss you typically wind up in a cut scene where you have lost.

Overall, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is one of the best Musou games that I have played (for the ones based off anime). I'm not a fan of One Piece, but this game is really good and I think all Warriors fans should give it a try. The character variety and fast gameplay make it highly enjoyable.

Despite the reused story assets that may cheapen the experienced for seasoned Pirate Warriors vets, Omega Force once again prove they are the kings of their craft with this glorious, delicious slice into anime mayhem. Sit down, Hyrule Warriors. You aren’t the pinnacle anymore.

The gameplay was very fun and addicting at times. There's so many characters that have unique abilities and upgrades. Story was great.

The eccentric enemies match the exaggerated abilities of our heroes, and combined with the vibrant anime style visuals, make One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 a fun experience... even if there is distinct lack of talking parrots, plank walking and shivering of timbers.

One Piece fans rejoice, there's a ton here to enjoy. The prospect of getting hands-on as Big Mom, Kaido, and Katakuri then smashing through armies of Samurai on Wano is wonderful. The characters play fantastically, each distinct and diverse, with fantastic realisations of their moves and abilities. The cleaned-up combat system makes for a smoother experience, and many issues have been addressed. That being said, there are some little annoyances that hold it back, such as the key absentees of the roster, and the constantly frustrating camera. For all of its flaws, though, this is a solid Musou title, and a significant step forward beyond Pirate Warriors 3. A must buy for Musou fans. A must buy for One Piece fans. For fans of both an absolute joy.

One Piece fans will love this game. Although I have not seen a single episode of One Piece’s anime or read any of the manga, I enjoyed playing it. You don’t need to have a vast knowledge of the One Piece lore to enjoy this game, as the main storyline introduces you to the characters and locations within the One Piece universe. Overall, One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 was a lot of fun and I highly recommend it if you enjoy Dynasty Warriors-like games.

One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 has the unusual honor of being both one of the best anime-based games and best Warriors games I've ever played. It has its flaws, including the tiresome return of Giant foes and the usual Warriors repetitiveness, but it's a great example of how to reinvigorate something that seems like a tired formula. If you're a One Piece fan or a fan of the Warriors franchise, PW4 is absolutely worth a go. Once you've taken a bite of gum-gum, you won't be able to resist more.

Pirate Warriors 4 is rich in content and characters from the One Piece animated series, which is bound to satisfy its many fans. It also has a clumsy way of presenting its plot, and has a rather shoddy campaign mode, as well as performance issues and less improvements than the its fellow Warriors games, but while that may not make this a compulsory purchase, it's also not an obstacle to enjoying the game's fun combat, which is indeed a satisfying experience.

You need to get used to each character, learn their strike techniques, pump them up, and choose the best fighting style for them! The graphics in the Nintendo Switch version have grown a lot! Now this is not a quick version, part 4 was released simultaneously with all other versions on consoles and it is clear that it does not differ in quality, But in the Nintendo version, this is more of a plus! Become more elaborate levels, and most importantly it the effect of razrushaemosti locations! This experiment I took as a good because it adds visual power heroes, you see what they are able to destroy the building, not just people ! Besides heroes now can jump on the building that too, it was impossible to do in 3rd part! It is also a noticeable plus in the treasury.Now The Cons! I hope the issues with the visuals I mentioned are fixed in the near future, but as of now, we are left with a port that indulged a bit too much in the Pop Pop Fruit. If you love One Piece then you’re going to have a great time with Pirate Warriors 4, but that doesn’t mean that it isn’t flawless.

I am already a fan of the Koei Bandai Namco Warrior games and this style paired with the One Piece anime works great. The wildly random characters and story line are very interesting and gripping and if you enjoy smashing slews of enemies with quirky comedic moves then you will enjoy yourselves here. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is better than previous games, as it adds cool new features as well as more playable characters and options. As always, although this title can be enjoyed by any player, it is perfect for manganime fans who like the musou genre.

If you’ve played a Warriors game before, then you’ve basically played One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4. Thin story, okay graphics, and somewhat shallow but satisfying action gameplay are all par for the course here, not to mention a lion’s share of content to work through. If you’ve ever been curious what this sub-genre is all about, this is a great place to jump in with its easily approachable gameplay and that lovably goofy One Piece aesthetic. If you’re a long time fan, we’d encourage you to ask yourself how much you want more of the same and decide based on that. One Piece: Pirate Warriors 4 is the furthest thing from reinventing the wheel, but it sure has its unique and addictive gameplay loop down to a science.

Each level you contend with hordes of bad guys using your favourite characters from the show, you must complete the objective and the optional sub missions.Using a variety of different attacks and special moves, with plenty of destruction to be dealt to the level environment make dealing with the enimies satisfying enough to distract from the fact that the enemy forces never really feel like they pose too much of a threat and boss / sub boss fights not being that difficult either.The game boasts a great storyline to pull from as stays relitively true to that, with great cut scenes retelling the story starting at the Alabasta arc of the series / manga. Visually the game provides good character design that look like the much beloved characters. Offering up detailed level designs and plenty of colour that will keep your attention drawn in. The destruction model is nice and feels satisfying when you destroy a house after sending a handful of baddies through the front wall. Overall: This is a deffinate pick up for fans of the series. If you are looking to get into the game series I would still suggest getting this but hold off playing till you have played prior installments to catch up on the amazing story the series has to offer. While the AI offer not too much of a threat causing a bit of lack of game accomplishment this game redeems itself with the storyline, character design and animations.
