Sull'isola di Vooju accadono cose misteriose...
Trama
Il gioco segue le imprese dei tre protagonisti principali, Papa Doc, Jane Starling e Blue Belly, che cercano di fermare la resurrezione di un dio demoniaco, orchestrata dalla perfida moglie di Papa Doc, la strega Vooju Queen Zimbi, aiutata dalla ciurma di pirati di Greenbeard e da un esercito di zombie. Dopo che la strega cattura il re dei pirati Flint e mette fuori combattimento i tre protagonisti, questi si ritrovano con la maledizione di avere l'anima separata dal corpo.
Nella prima parte del gioco, i tre protagonisti devono trovare un modo per riacquistare i loro corpi, un metodo per riattaccare le loro anime e una nave per lasciare l'isola di Vooju e cercare aiuto. Devono farlo prima di essere trasformati in zombie o prima che il gallo canti tre volte, altrimenti saranno persi per sempre come fantasmi.
Nella seconda parte del gioco, i tre devono raccogliere alleati e fermare il tentativo di Barbabianca di attaccare il porto di Blue Belly con l'aiuto dei loro poteri spettrali. Nella parte finale del gioco, con i loro alleati, i tre eroi devono sconfiggere la malvagia madre di Zimbi, Mama Malidei, e fermare la resurrezione del dio demoniaco.

So is Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island as good as The Curse of Monkey Island? Not really. The truly funny moments can be counted on one hand, and the puzzles lack that spark of genius that could have made Bill Tiller's latest offering a memorable one.
Yes, it is a quality game with high-end graphics and superb voice-acting, but it also seems to be pretty much 'by-the-numbers' let's get this finished and hope we get better distribution and make more money than we did with Dreamcatcher so we can move on to our next project type of game.
Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island is an old-school point'n'click adventure, with an interesting gameplay. Its visuals, by Bill Tiller, are amazing, and the scenarios feel like the main characters of this adventure.
A little step further than A Vampire Story, Ghost Pirates is a good adventure in an inspired setting, but it shows some problems related to its youth. Perfection is still far but graphic and characters save the project.
A series of small issues prevent it from shining as brightly as it could have, but its fun puzzles in a cool setting make Ghost Pirates of Vooju Island an entertaining adventure.
