Friday the 13th: The Game is a fantastic game but there is some bugs in the game. I had a lot of fun with this game and I'm still glad that people are still playing this game today. I give this game a 10/10 because I love Friday The 13th and I know how bad the acting was in the movies but it what made me laugh and went on to play this game.

Each of them have to try and get to escape via boat, car or by the police or by hiding but this NEVER works. Jason has to salughter each of them in various gruesome ways by body parts, stabbing or others.The game is clever as there is a good bit of strategy involved if you want to go it alone or work together all the while grabbing items trying to feebly stave off Jason from brutally murdering you.That's the gist of the game and the detail in the game from the developers shows they care about it a lot (well at least they did but more on that later). The amount of nuggets and easter eggs in the game is amazing. There is also the single player with side missions and the head scratcher that is the virtual cabin.Where the game lacks is the glitches there is some bugs that can ruin the game but they are very light now. The other thing is that despite the fact that it was meant to have more DLC on the way, the company has decided not to add the Grendal and Uber Jason despite the fact it was meant to be added.Overall a solid 9/10, very enjoyable. When playing as one of the councillors most of your time will be spent wandering around the map searching drawers with the hope of finding items that’ll aid your escape. Occasionally you’ll run into Jason but these encounters, while tense to began with, quickly fall into a repetitive pattern. Should you die you’ll have to sit and watch the rest of the game, which could be 15 minutes or more, if you want the maximum XP reward. Playing as Jason, which you won’t get to do often in public games, is a little more fun but even then you’ll spend the majority of your time wandering around by yourself trying to find everyone. You do have a selection of special powers to assist in this search but they don’t do much to prevent the tedium of the long, lonely treks.As with many games of this ilk I guess there could be some fun to be had with a group of mates but as a game Friday the 13th is a disappointment.

Cult series done pretty well into the game. The fun is almost instant, but it also disappears as quickly. If there were more possibilities and environments, perhaps one would stay there longer. For a few plays the game serves fine, but not many players will return very often. Impression is also corrupted by obsolete visuals and technical issues.

Friday the 13th does not overflow with content, but is rich enough to generate varied memories (unlike Dead by Daylight, another example of asymmetrical multiplayer). What it needs to become a truly worthwhile game is some more polish.

Friday the 13th: The Game is the closest you are ever going to get to being in a Friday The 13th movie. It's so realistic that I had goosebumps every time I saw Jason. However if you are playing alone it can get a little boring at times, and that makes me wish that there was a decent single player mode But with its authenticity this is the best Friday The 13th game that we may ever have and it will make every fan very happy.

It's absolutely ridiculous that i can barely make it all the way through any matches! fix the servers and i"m sure a lot of ratings go up. i love playing but I just can't handle getting kicked anymore.

The game is a little clunky in places, with glitches and a shaky lobby, but that barely detracts from the fun of a perfectly recreated, playable slasher flick. The only drawback is that you NEED seven friends to enjoy this. It works with randoms, but the real joy is playing with people you know: all those howling recriminations, the taunts, cheering the kills.

Friday the 13th: The Game invites us to survive a night in Crystal Lake. We must flee as campers or kill if we are Jason. Although the idea is a good one and the matches are fun, there isn’t content enough and in the technical aspects the game aren't up to snuff.

It's a pretty cool concept, but the execution leaves a lot to be desired, especially as far as the clunky controls and technical inaccuracies go.

Friday the 13th is a technical horror show redeemed by a fairly enjoyable core multiplayer experience. The nagging problem with that is that the stars have to align for players to achieve that experience in the first place. Time and effort will likely help make Friday the 13th a stronger package in the future, but time may well not be on its side if the player base dwindles rapidly.

made by a small team of developers, the game actually surpassed my expectations. ill be honest, i did not have faith in this kickstart projectmade by a small team of developers, the game actually surpassed my expectations. ill be honest, i did not have faith in this kickstart project and thought it was nothing more than a cash grab due to selling a disk and steel case for $120, due to this i did not back this project.ive been playing since release day and have experienced very few of the problems users complain about because i started this game by hosting private matches. most people had problems getting quick match to work, which for the majority of the time ive played i have avoided. over all alot of care and attention was put into jasons character, and it does a very good job making you feel like this is how jason would be.i am not going to go into detail on what the game is about, or how to play..this review is late and you can look up videos for gameplay. over all the game is awesome as long as you are playing with honest/fair people who dont use glitches, though the developer is patching issues fairly quickly. if you like friday the 13th it is worth the purchase, its fun and content will continue to be developed (more maps/single player vs bots/skins/clothes). over all i have played nothing but this since release, and it is a refreshing break from traditional games like first person shooters, and it doesnt fail where games like evolve did. awesome game, worth $40. buy it if you love the franchise (digital only right now, disk version will come out later).

I played two game like 5 minutes into the first one somebody was trying to kill me so I had to shoot they with a shotgun and I lost 1000 xp. But what was I supposed to do I did not want to die. I really like the devs but the people just ruined it for me. It does get stale after awhile so keep that in mind too, I would suggest to not buy this unless you have friends or you a the biggest Jason fan.

While the concepts are interesting and really have something special in mind, the execution and technical issues really hold back Friday the 13th from living up to its own hype. There are a few moments of fun here and there, but the Xbox One version is still having issues finding games for people, myself included. I hear the other versions are in better shape than this one, so if you’re still really interested in it, maybe get if for PC or PS4. Even then, I must warn you, there is some fun to see, but in the end it is still a clunky, random experience that I feel needed a few more months of development.

It’s very sad to say that Friday the 13th: The Game, after all the hype and excitement of a game that could have truly represented the incredible franchise, is the most unstable, unreliable and underwhelming game I’ve played in a long time.

In the future, we may view Friday The 13th as one of the year's great games. Its mix of laugh out loud moments and tense chase sequences is unique, refreshing, and a draw even if you're not usually a multiplayer fan. As it stands currently, however, the game is weighed down by far too many issues that hurt the overall experience. A lot of the game requires wits and patience, but it'll be hard to retain those qualities when the game is regularly throwing technical flaws at you. The bright side of this is its issues rarely relate to design. Bugs can be patched, like some already have been. If Illfonic can rein in the many issues seen in Friday The 13th it will go down as a classic multiplayer game. Until then, it's simply wishful thinking.

These shortcomings and ongoing server issues aren't easily overlooked, and work against what promise Friday the 13th shows. As of now, a week after launch, it's short on content and performs poorly all around, especially on consoles. The story goes that the developers weren't prepared for amount of people who wanted to jump on day one, but that does little to assuage players who were convinced that they were paying for a finished product. Despite showing potential that may one day be realized, Friday the 13th comes across as an unfinished game that shouldn't have been released in its current state.

On both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Friday the 13th has been intermittently unplayable. Yes, private matches with friends are sometimes possible, but if you wish to join up with a band of strangers online for a bout of deadly hide-and-go-seek from the comfort of your couch, you're either entirely out of luck or stuck waiting upwards of ten minutes for a match--after days of not being able to play at all.

At its best, Friday the 13th is a compelling multiplayer experience that captures the excitement and terror of going against one of the most notorious movie monsters and (hopefully) living to tell about it. At its worst, the game is a frustrating trial of patience, whether you're waiting out the clock or dealing with numerous technical issues.

A truly unique experience, unlike any other multiplayer game you’ve played (certainly a cut above other asymmetrical titles), where cooperation, wits and sometimes ruthless murder are what it takes to survive. Be wary of this game if only for its propensity to hook you. Jason has sunk his pickaxe into me, and he's not letting go, ensuring I will be playing Friday the 13th: The Game extensively for the considerable future.

Overall the game is beyond simplistic, but perhaps that's for the best. Overcomplicating things might have made it less fun in the grand scheme of things, and while I can't say for certain if I'll be playing this game a year from now, I do know I can affectionately call it my frightening summer fling for multiplayer. Illfonics has set the stage, it's time for them to keep improving upon this great idea, and for other companies to take the hint and follow in their footsteps. This is asymmetric multiplayer at its most addicting, and horror in one of its purest forms.

I have seen many complaints about not having a chance against jason but I think they missed the point! You really are supposed to be at a disadvantage. I have been playing mostly as a stealth character and while I am not very good and I don't bother to learnt he "pro" strategies , my survivability has been pretty good,I find myself in tense moments trying to hide, hoping Jason doesn't see me, hoping after I stab him with the pocket Knife I can jump into the window of a nearby cabin and escape!TOO much fun! watching and playing game is so much like watching the best version of any of the movies. Play Jason is of course tons of fun but its also fun trying to escape him. I really think you should give this a try if you have some disposable income and like to get your heart pumping!

The only way to play it is to do a workaround in the game hub on your console. It's impossible to get a match going in-game.A week or two delay could have fixed most of this. I'm out $40 and now at the mercy of these developers to follow through on their promises.

Players can absolutely see the incredible potential of Friday the 13th: The Game. When the game works without issue, it provides a fantastic, tense experience unlike other asymmetrical horror games on the market. It could just be so much better. Polishing off the bugs and expanding with additional content and modes would turn this into a title that becomes a longstanding favorite rather than something folks play for a hot minute before moving onto the next Early Access multiplayer title.
