Lo sviluppatore di Crysis 3 The Lost Island CD Key è Crytek, uno sviluppatore di giochi tedesco e Electronic Arts il suo editore. È un videogioco sparatutto che si gioca dalla prospettiva della prima persona. Appartiene alla serie di giochi "Crysis" lanciata nel 2011 ed è il terzo capitolo, che gira sul motore di gioco CryEngine 3. Annunciato ufficialmente il 16 aprile 2012, il gioco è stato pubblicato il 19 febbraio 2013 in Nord America.
Il gioco è incentrato su un possessore di nanotuta di nome Prophet, la cui missione è quella di vendicarsi del leader della razza aliena Ceph chiamata "Alpha Ceph" e della CELL Corporation. Il protagonista principale di "Crysis Warhead", Psycho, accompagna Prophet nella sua missione ed è controllato dall'intelligenza artificiale. La trama del gioco rappresenta la conclusione della trilogia di Crysis. Questo capitolo ha introdotto nuove caratteristiche nel gameplay, tra cui la funzione di hacking e il nuovo arco compound, oltre a Rip and Throw, la modalità di gioco multiplayer asimmetrica nota come "Hunter" e l'abilità Nanosuit. La critica ha accolto positivamente il gioco al momento della sua uscita, lodandone il design dei livelli, il multiplayer e la grafica. Il gioco aveva anche vinto diversi premi prima di essere distribuito al pubblico. Tuttavia, dal punto di vista commerciale non è stato all'altezza delle aspettative dell'azienda.

Beautiful maps with a great sense of nostalgia from the first game in the series. Major downside though is that with an already tiny community, very few players will be playing this DLC making it very hard to find anywhere to play. Should have been a free release but that's a laughable concept to game developers these days, I know.
